Color | Wave length of colors

Color is the result of an interaction between a chromophore group and light. The phenomena is entirely subjective, because it is the sensation created in the brain, by the message stimulated by impact of radiation of a particular wave length on the nurves in the eyes.

Color                                       Wave length (solar spectrum)
Violet Þ                                 390-430 nm
Blue Þ                                    430 -460 nm
Blue – green Þ                       460-500 nm
Green Þ                                 500-570 nm
Yellow Þ                               570-590 nm
Orange Þ                               590 -610 nm
Red Þ                                     610-700 nm
